  (July 27, 2010) - Lone Star College System has again been named as one of the best colleges in the country to work for as part of an annual survey published in The Chronicle of Higher Education.

  (July 22, 2010) - The Board of Trustees of the Lone Star College System will conduct a Budget Workshop on July 27, 2010 at noon in the board room of the Training and Development Center located at 5000 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77381.

   

• LSC-Montgomery receives $1.5 million grant - July 08, 2010
  (July 8, 2010) - Lone Star College-Montgomery has been selected by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board as a recipient of a $1.5 million Developmental Education Demonstration Projects grant.
• LSCS SBDC celebrates 25th anniversary - July 07, 2010
  (July 7, 2010) - Lone Star College System Small Business Development Center celebrated its 25th anniversary last week with a reception held at the system office in The Woodlands.

   

• LSCS ranked as a top school for veterans - July 06, 2010
  (June 29, 2010) - Lone Star College System is one of the largest colleges in the U.S. for the number of veteran students it serves.

   

• LSCS gets $1.4 million grant for LSC-Victory Center - June 29, 2010
  (June 29, 2010) - Lone Star College System announced that it has received a $1.4 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration to help build the LSC-Victory Center, a LSC-North Harris facility.

   

• LSCS gets grant from TWC for job training - June 29, 2010
  (June 29, 2010) - Lone Star College System announced that it has partnered with National Oilwell Varco to provide job training through an $883,212 Skills Development Grant from the Texas Workforce Commission.

   

• Lone Star Corporate College to assist with English training program - June 28, 2010
  (June 28, 2010) - Lone Star Corporate College has partnered with the National Association of Manufacturing and Retention Education to produce an English language proficiency program to help boost literacy, educational attainment and career advancement among Texas' Hispanic workforce.

   

• LSCS-SBDC seeking nominations for annual awards - June 24, 2010
  (June 24, 2010) - The Lone Star College System Small Business Development Center Advisory Council is now seeking nominations from the community for the 24th Annual Small Business of the Year awards.
• LSCS faculty members get excellence awards - June 22, 2010
  (June 10, 2010) - Twenty Lone Star College System faculty members were recognized recently for faculty excellence by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development.
