During the next year or two, Lone Star College-North Harris will have many construction projects taking place that will affect campus space and utilization, especially classroom space and parking.
Construction projects include the renovation and remodeling of the Academic Building, and expansion of the Applied Technology Building. In addition, Greenspoint Center will receive a facade upgrade, a new science laboratory, and much needed additional parking.
Stay tuned to this Construction Update page, as we will use this site to keep you updated with more specific timelines, upcoming events, new photos, and things like closures, interruptions or areas of campus to avoid at certain times.
Student Services Building:
Construction commences spring 2010 semester; scheduled for completion spring 2011 semester.

Fine Arts Building Expansion:
Construction commences spring 2010 semester; scheduled for completion spring 2011 semester.

Applied Technology Building Expansion:
Construction commences spring 2010 semester; scheduled for completion spring 2011 semester.

Greenspoint Center Renovation:
Construction commences fall 2009/spring 2010 semesters; scheduled for completion spring 2010 semester.
Academic Building Renovation:
Construction commences fall 2009/spring 2010 semesters for some accelerated projects and spring 2011 semester for the non-accelerated projects; accelerated projects scheduled for completion summer 2010/ fall 2010 semesters; non-accelerated projects scheduled for completion spring 2011/ summer 2011.
Winship Building Renovation:
Construction commences spring 2011 semester; scheduled for completion summer 2011 semester.
Health Professions Building Renovation:
Construction commences fall 2009/spring 2010 semesters; scheduled for completion summer 2010/fall 2010 semesters.

Victory Center
Lone Star College-North Harris closed a $1.8 million land purchase of 17 acres on the corner of Victory and Vogel streets located in the Aldine area near the Acres Homes and Inwood Forest communities.
The college will use the acreage to build a new approximately 85,000 square-foot facility envisioned to be a center for workforce and academic preparation, economic and community development, and a focal point for citizenship training for area residents. The center will be designed to handle a student capacity of up to 3,500.
